Sierra is 7 months old

Sierra is now 7 months old. Where does the time go?? It seems like she was just born yesterday and now?? 7 months old. My mom used to tell me that you blink that they are all grown-up. And she was right!

Oh the shots!!

Sierra had her 6 month check-up the Thursday before we left to go to the wedding, and I didn't want to get all of her shots and then get on a plane the next day. So I had to go back today and get them. One of the things I dislike about being a mom is shots....the look on your baby's face when you are holding her/him down and they realize they have just been pricked by a needle. They look at you like "how could you do this to me". Luck for them they will never remember it, but as a mom you will never forgot that look. Lucky for me Sierra is like her big brothers and shots don't faze her very much. She cried for about 15 seconds and them was happy again. And this time no fever, no change in appetite and has only slept a little bit more have usual today. (so far)

Jen and Aarron's Wedding Weekend

On Friday morning we fly to Utah, for my sisters' wedding. We arrived in the afternoon and Barry picked us up from the airport and we went to Barry and Robbin's house to hang out until Robbin got home from work. Then we all went out to dinner. The boys were great and Sierra slept through the whole dinner (very nice!). After dinner we went to my parents house and got settled in. We visited with Jen, Aarron, Mom, Dad, and Martin (an old friend of Aarron's) and let the kids run wild. Brad left with Aarron and Martin and headed to Port O'Call for the bachelor party. The boys came home VERY late. We got up early on Saturday morning to start getting ready for the wedding. Tasha came over to do every one's hair (Leah, Mom, Laura, Ann and Myself) and we all had breakfast together. Then we headed over to Tuscany to set-up. The grounds were beautiful and we got everything set-up in no time. Kyle was there taking pictures of everything, he did a great job! Jen had her hair and make-up done there. We all got dressed and the wedding got started. The ceremony was wonderful! The vows were amazing and funny. It was surreal to watch my sister get married. And to look at the other side of Aarron and see Brad standing there and remember back to our wedding day. The reception that followed was great! The food was fabulous, the weather was perfect, the cake was delicious, and the music was rockin' and the company was wonderful. The bride and groom left right on time and the rest of us cleaned up and headed home. Mom, Dad, Jen, Aarron and Leah left for dinner. While Brad and I got ready for the Bonham Family party that evening. Claudia, Ken, Tiffany, Brett, Mandi, Jon, Eli, Paige, Jenilyn, Kyle, Hailea, Kadin, Kelly and Mckinley all came over to visit. We were able to see our two new nieces, Paige and Mckinley, they are adorable and see how big our other niece and nephews have gotten. Everyone was able to see Sierra for the first time and see how big the boys have gotten. It was a fun night! The next morning we packed and got ready to go. We went to Dee's for brunch, I got my fry sauce fix! Then we headed to the airport. It was a whirl wind weekend, but one that I wouldn't have missed!!!

Sierra's Six Month Check-Up

Sierra had her six month check-up today and she is now 16 lbs 8 oz and 27 3/4 inches long. She is in the 70% for weight and 90% for length for a normal healthy 6 month old. She is no longer on a preemie growth chart!!! My little girl is already growing up so fast.

My baby is starting to CRAWL!!!

Sierra has decided that rolling around everywhere is not fast enough. Now she is low crawling and trying to really crawl :(

My Superhero!!

Alex decided to dress-up like Robin and playoutside (which is very normal for him). Alex loves to get into a superhero costume, he has 6-7 different ones. And if he doesn't have the one he wants he puts one together. Once Alex was outside he wanted to ride on his Spider-Man scooter. But when Brad asked him about the scooter, Alex said "It's not a Spider-Man scooter Dad, it is the batmobile" (as he rolls his eyes). That is my superhero!!!

Getting Ready

It is amazing how much work it takes to get ready for a trip with kids. And especially hard if you are flying (so much more to worry about). Before we had kids Brad and I would look at each other on Friday morning/afternoon and say "Let's go somewhere". We would grab a change of clothes, deodorant, toothbrushes and bathing suit/swim trunks and pick a direction and start driving. Then we would pick a place and stop there for the weekend. Now that we have kids...I have been planning for 2 weeks now and with only 3 1/2 days left until we leave I still have so much to do. Clothes to wash, bags to pack, lists to check off. It is so hard to pack for kids and then you have to be careful of what you pack because of all the restrictions at the airport. Then I have to make sure that Ted, Alex and Sierra all have things to keep them busy and happy and not annoy the other passengers on the plane. UGHHHHH!!! There are only 2 upsides to this trip: 1. My sister is getting married and we all get to be there for it!! 2. All of our family gets to see each other again on Saturday night (everyone gets to meet Sierra for the first time and we get to meet our two new little nieces) Back to laundry and lists and packing...

Back To School

Alex and Ted are both back in school. Ted started the 4th grade this year and Alex is in Pre-K. Alex is in Cedar Cross Co-Op again this year and loves his new teacher. He is already learning so much. Ted is in Ms. Hart's class again this year and already has homework.

Happy Birthday to Me!!

So Brad threw me a birthday party this year and invited my friends over for a big Mexican dinner and cheesecake!! It was so much fun. Brad and the kids bought me a beautiful amethyst and diamond pendant. (Brad listened to me when I said I want an amethyst this year)

Kids Photos

We took the kids to have their pictures taken last Saturday morning. The photographer did an amazing job. We were done in 20 minutes and that includes changing all the kids clothes once and about 30 really cute pictures!
