I think the work "Blackmail" says it all. Oh and he did it all on his own!! LOL!!!!

Although he didn't know I was taking pictures until it was to late. Does that make me a bad mom?? LOL!!!

The first two weeks

The boys have both finished the first two weeks of school and so far are loving it! Ted likes his teacher and has already had a bunch of homework. Alex loves his teacher and can't wait to learn more and more and more (his words, not mine!). Alex starts to have homework next week. I don't remember having homework in Kindergarten; I remember milk, graham crackers, nap time and playing!

Breakfast at Frost

This morning we took Heather to Frost for breakfast. We had some wonderful donuts
outside in the beautiful weather.
After breakfast we had to take Heather to the airport. I am so sad that she is gone, I already miss her. It makes me want to move back east to be with her and her family.

Girls Day Out and a Night out with Brad!

Heather and I went into Seattle this morning. It was a beautiful day and we had so much fun! We went to the space needle and went up to the top (and got a parking ticket, my first one EVER!), we went to Pike Place Market, we walked along the piers and had lunch at Red Robin. It was a wonderful morning and afternoon.
Later in the afternoon we got a babysitter for the kids and Heather, Brad and I went out to dinner at Macaroni Grill and then we got coffee and wondered around Barnes n Noble. It was a great night!

And I finally get all the way up the stairs and realize it is Heather!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Brad flew her in from Maryland for my birthday!!!!! I am so excited that she is here and she will be here until Sunday mid-morning! We have sent all day talking and catching up, it has been a great day!

Last Day in Vegas :(

So once again I said we were going to bed at midnight, but we ended up talking until 3am!!! And once again I was up way too early, 9am and wide awake! No kids and I still can't sleep in!!!!! Shari, Jen and I had a lazy morning and just relaxed until it was time for lunch/head to the airport. So we went to Chili's for lunch, then Jen took us to the airport. The airport was very eerie, there was no one there, I have never seen it that empty! We walked right through security and had plenty of time to wait at our gate. The flight felt like it lasted forever and it was soooooooooo bumpy! Brad and the kids picked up Shari and I from the airport. We took Shari home and then came home. I gave the kids and Brad their gifts. And I just got done unpacking. Now it is time for bed! Thank you for the wonderful weekend!!!

Day 2 Vegas!

Remember how I said I was going to take a shower, have a quick snack and go to bed??? Well we ended up watching a movie, then we went to bed. But could I sleep??? Oh no, I had coffee at the casino and I finally fell asleep after 4am. And did I sleep in?? Oh no, I woke up at 10am and couldn't go to bed. My back was really sore this morning and with only 6 hours of sleep I was not up for going to The Strip. So Andra and Shari left for the strip and I stayed home with Jen. Jen and I read all morning, finally got ready for the day, then we went to Chipotle for lunch, mmmmmmm. We went shopping for a little while, Jen needed a pair of capris and a new book :). Then we went home and read and relaxed for a little while longer. We left Jen's house and met Andra and Shari on Freemont Street for dinner, drinks and the light show. We went to a buffet, say the show and got some souvenirs and called it a night. Jen and I went straight home, while Shari and Andra drove down the strip to see it at night. Andra, Shari and I are going to bed now. Andra has an early flight in the morning. Shari and I don't have to leave until later in the afternoon.

Day1 in Vegas

We were up really really late last night/this morning. We had a really good time with Beth and had some great food at The Bootlegger Bistro. We finally got to my sisters house and unpacked and got in bed at 2am! We got up this morning and had a lazy morning around the house. Then Andra, Shari, Jen and I went to Kane's Chicken for lunch and went and had pedicures. After the pedicures we ran to the store and bought some snacks and munchies. I was really tired and not feeling very well so I laid down for a while once we got home. After my rest I was feeling a little better, so we went out to dinner to Sweet Tomato. After dinner Andra really wanted to go out somewhere, so we went to the Santa Fe Station (it is 5 minutes from my sisters' house) to gamble. Shari went to play the card tables, while Jen, Andra and I went to play some slot machines. We ended up playing Bingo, yes that's right I said Bingo. It was so much fun!! We didn't win, but for $10 we had 1 1/2 hours of fun. Then we hit the slot machines and all three of us did great! We just came home from The Station and I am going to take a shower (I hate the smell of cigarettes) and then we are going to have a snack and I am going to go to bed. I am really tired!

Clue Hunt + Cryptogram = Las Vegas!!

I was making breakfast this morning for the kids when I notice a paper taped to the top of the doorway into the dining room. It read: This is the year of surprises. There are a could of things that I know about you. You like mysteries, puzzles, and brainteasers. Well if you want to know what you are getting for your birthday, you are going to need to do all of these. You are now on the case of the "Happy Birthday". Your first clue: In the house there are 2 towers that encase the flame. On the 5th tier of the right tower, the smoke is stolen. Find the thief and find your next clue. It was in a book called the Smoke Thief, on the 5 shelf of a bookcase on the right side of the fireplace. Clue 2: When you need to sit and “think, think, think” you should flip it’s lid to find the next clue. It was under the cushion of the couch where I usually sit. Clue 3: When the answer is as “black and white” as left is right, you will find your next clue. It was taped behind a black and white picture of the kids, the one on the left side of the picture collage. Clue 4: if you are a “survivor” you will never be “in death”, but if you do you will find the next clue. It was in the jacket of a JD Robb book, Survivor in Death. Clue 5: b i r t h d a y c e f g j k l m n o p q s u v w x z when what is on top is now on bottom, and bottom on top you will now have the key, but to find question look where the Arctic winds blow. It was on the side of the window air conditioner in the family room. The Answer: Dqub shcm kqxy shc qmv xhltx nh evxqy (what I found) Pack your bags you are going to Vegas (Translated) The kids and I had so much fun running around the house and looking for the clues, then Ted helped me with the code. We had so much fun!! And I am going to Vegas on Thursday night until Sunday night!!!!!
