Slip-In-Slide Time

Park Day

We took the kids to the park this afternoon for lunch and to let them play. We all swung on the swings, the kids played on the rock wall, the zip line and the monkey bars and Sierra went down the slide all by herself for the first time. It was a beautiful day and we all day a wonderful time.

Zoo Day with the Bothell Moms Group

Today Alex, Sierra and I meet some friends from the Moms Group at the zoo today. Alex got a sun tattoo that he was very proud of. Sierra wore a cute new outfit that her Auntie Jennifer bought her. We were able to see Shellee her kids Landen and Jacksen, Andra her kids Ben and Katie, Maria some of her friends and her son Zachery. The animals were mostly out and everyone had a good time.

Memorial Day

Happy Memorial Day!

Today was a very good and bad day. I was out very late last night/this morning, so I was very tired this morning. Brad was awesome and woke up with Sierra and went and got coffee for me. Then Brad made homemade pancakes (from Pioneer Woman's website http://thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/2009/05/perfect-pancakes/) and bacon for breakfast, while the boys and I baked a cake for Memorial Day. The boys had a great day, they were able to play with their friends all day again today. They even had lunch with them. Sierra on the other hand would not take a morning nap and when we tried again later she only slept for an hour and woke up crying and cried off and on for the rest of the day. We were not able to go over to a friends house for a BBQ because Sierra was so off this afternoon. We tried to lay her down again later in the afternoon and she still would not go to sleep. Brad and I were able to pull together a great dinner of ribs, baked potatoes and corn on the cob. And after dinner the boys decorated the cake. And then we were all able to eat it!

This was a very busy week for us! Monday was a busy day in Alex's classroom getting ready for the last day of school. Tuesday both of the boys had swim lessons. Wednesday was another hectic day at preschool. Thursday was Alex's Preschool Celebration. Friday Ted didn't have school and it was Alex's last day of school, then after school we went to a park for a picnic with some friends from preschool. The boys played outside all afternoon with friends from the neighborhood. Friday our van was finally fixed, so Brad had to return the rental car and pick up the van. Then Friday night I took half of our garage over to Shari's house for a garage sale. Saturday morning I went to help at the garage sale, while Brad stayed home with the kids. I came home at lunch time and we had a great lunch together. Then Brad and I took a walk with Sierra while the boys played outside with their friends. Saturday afternoon Brad went over to Shari's to help put the garage sale stuff away for the night, and while he was there the church across the street had a big basketball hoop they were giving away for free. So Brad brought it home and fixed it, so now the boys have a basketball hoop to play with. All day on Sunday the boys played outside with their friends. Ted and Alex were invited to have dinner and roast marshmallows at the neighbors house, they had so much fun! I went and got a the few things that didn't sell at the yard sale, we were able to sell almost everything!! Then I went to a moms night out at Shari's new house, it was wonderful!
