Ted and Alex's Birthday Party

My mom, dad and sister flew up to help celebrate the boys birthdays. The kids were so excited! He had a small family party for them. They had an ice cream cake (they both agreed on the same cake, ice cream and topper!!!!) and we gave them their presents. Unfortunately the SD card in our camera was bad and we lost all the pictures taken on it and we only have a few pictures that Brad took with his phone. So we don't have the pictures of Ted getting his new gear bike, or Alex getting his DS and games. And the pictures we do have are grainy and a little bleary, but a least we have a few!

Alex wanted to have his friends over to the house for a Slip N Slide, Water Gun, Sprinkler Birthday Party. So that is exactly what we did and everyone had so much fun. It was a prefect day for it!

Wow I can't believe how fast the last six years have flown by. I swear I just found out I was pregnant with you and that I just had you and that you just started walking and talking. You are starting the 1st grade this year, you are learning to read and can already add and subtract. You are so smart, creative and funny. You smile makes me smile, I love you costumes and the outfits you pick out to wear, I love the books you make me and the art work that is taped up all over the house. Thank you being a great big and little brother and a wonderful son. I am so happy that you are mine! I love you so much and I am so proud of you and what you are becoming.

Our Weekend Away

Brad and I were able to go away for the weekend!!! My best friend, Shari, watched Alex and Sierra all weekend for us (she rocks by the way)! We dropped them off after naps on Friday and went to a pub in Bellevue for dinner. The food was so good and Brad was able to try an IPA beer he had been look for. We left the pub and went to our hotel, The Hyatt in downtown Bellevue. The room was great, the bed was perfect and the view was amazing!

On Saturday morning we woke up early, yes early I know, and drove into Seattle. We went on the Seattle Underground tour, it was great! I highly recommend it, it was so much fun. We walked up to Ipanema Brazilian Grill, the food was really good and the drinks were so very strong!

After lunch we walked around downtown Seattle for a while. Then we drove around and explored and shopped. It was so fun to look around, play tourist, take our time and just enjoy each others company. We went back to the hotel and watched a some movies, eat snacks, took naps, had dinner, read and relaxed. On Sunday morning we got up and went downstairs to Tully's and got some coffee. Then we went back up to the room and got ready to check out. We left the hotel and went out to breakfast. It was so good! Then we went back to Shari's house and picked up the kids. What a great weekend!!!

Water Fun and Lunch

Alex, Sierra and went over to Andra, Ben and Katie's house to play in the water/sprinkler/pool/slip n slide and have lunch. It was a beautiful day and perfect for playing in the water. And the kids were great!

Sierra Playing Dress Up

Sierra came into our room this morning while I was cleaning and she found some of my costume jewelry. She was so excited that I decided to stop cleaning and play dress up with her. She is wearing one of my tank tops, a stand of "pearls", some rings and a tiara. She played with everything for hours. It was so much fun to watch her!
