Family and Friends Party

So we got some snow last week, which cancelled school (picture day, mommy working in the classroom, bringing the birthday snack, birthday party at school) and it was snowing on Saturday and we were worried that we would have to cancel her princess party yesterday. So I called the neighbors and some of Sierra's other friends to see if they could come over today for some dinner and dessert. Our neighbors and friends, Jean, Ray, Sydney and Haley gave over and our other friends, Devin, Matthew, Shari and Garrison, were all able to come over. Sierra requested pizza, garlic bread and fruit for dinner with make your own cupcakes for dessert. We had a great time.

Happy Birthday Sierra!!!!!

Wow it has been three years since you were born! I can still remember how scared and excited I was when you were born. You were so small and beautiful and strong, I was so proud to be your mom. You amazed us all with your strength; we were told to expect you to be in the nursery for 5 weeks and you were home in 12 days. We were told it would take 2 years to physically and mentally catch up to a full term baby, and you did it in 6 months. You rolled over, sat up, crawled and walked on time or early. You talked and signed early and haven't stopped since. Now 3 years, 32 lbs, and 21 3/4" later you are the most amazing daughter (36 lbs and 40" tall at 3 years old). You are smart, funny, stubborn, beautiful, sweet and caring. I wouldn't trade you for the world, I am so happy that you are mine. I love you with all of my heart (well except for the parts that I gave to Ted, Alex and your daddy). I am looking forward to what the next year brings us....

Sierra's Pictures

Since Brad bought me my new camera, I have been having so much fun taking pictures. So when I told my mom my idea for Sierra 3 year old pictures, I wanted her to play dress up in mommy's shoes, jewelry, make-up etc., I decided to try to take them myself so we could play for as long as Sierra wanted to. I draped up a black bed sheet, opened all the blinds, pulled out all the dress-up things, did Sierra's hair, turned on my camera and just had fun with Sierra! She loved it so much we did it three different times today!
