Too Cold for the Zoo

We decided to go to the zoo this morning, it was supposed to be sunny, 50 and no wind. We got there and it was mostly cloudy, 45 and VERY windy. The kids were so cold.

So way too much money later, the kids are bundled up with sweatshirts, hats and gloves.

We only made it a few hours and by then everyone was so cold, we decided to head home. At least we were able to see a few animals before we left.

Ted's Mid-Year Parent Teacher Conference

I had the opportunity to meet with Ted's teacher after school today for an open house/parent teacher conference. The kids had cookies and hot chocolate, while I was able to talk with Ted's teacher and see all of the wonderful things that he has done and is working on. He is doing so well and working really hard! I am so proud of him!

Sierra's 3 year Check Up

I took Sierra for her 3 year check up today. She is 39 1/2" tall (90%) and 39 lbs. (96%). No wonder I just had to wash all of her 4T clothes and all of her 3T clothes are too small, she is the size of a 4 year old. She is healthy, happy and ahead of schedule on most things (not surprising with two older brothers) and right on track for everything else. Sierra also had to have a shot today and handled it like a pro. One little "Ouch!", one little tear and that was it. She was so excited for her shiny band aid and sticker, she could have cared less about the shot!

Alex and Brad Go Shopping

Brad needed some new shirts and ties for work. Alex loves to dress nice and put together "really cool and stylin' outfits". So Brad took Alex with him to shop for new shirts and ties and this is what they picked....

The first and second grade classes performed Billy and the Bees for us tonight. Here is one of the songs that they sang for us...

Cousin Lara

My cousin Lara was in Seattle this weekend and we decide to get together so she could meet Brad and the kids. It was the first time I have seen her in 12 years!! It was so nice to get together and catch up. Hopefully next time it will be for longer than lunch :)
