Beaver Lake

This morning we got up and had a quick breakfast and got ready to head out to Peter's house (Brad's boss). The house is in Sammamish on Beaver Lake (about 45 minutes south east of us) and it is beautiful. We got to their house by 11am and met everyone and got ready to take the barge out on the lake and return a neighbors boat. The day started out overcast and cold, but was sunny and beautiful out by 12pm. Ted was able to "pilot" the boat back to the neighbors dock, on the other side of the lake. While Peter, Jordan (one of his daughters), Alex, Sierra and I followed on the barge. We picked up Brad, Ted and Sierra (she switched half way over) at the dock and went a little ways out and threw the anchor. We let Ted and Alex swim in the lake, while Brad swung Sierra's legs into the water. Luck for us and Sierra she was wearing a lifejacket, because she decided to scoot of the barge backwards, three of us tried to grab her, and we all missed. She ended up flat on her back in the water at first she started to giggle, then she realized she was in the water she started to cry. Brad hauled her out of the water and I changed her clothes and diaper. The boys were getting cold so we headed back towards the house. The kids had some snacks while we were able to talk. We went back and helped clean up and then we had to head home for Sierra's nap. We all had a great time and can't wait to go back!

Week in Review - Saturday Early Edition

We had a very busy fun week. We had the Aquasox game on Tuesday, so much fun. On Wednesday the kids and I had a playdate at Tina's house with a few other moms, it was so good to see everyone. Then on Thursday Andra and her kids came over and hung out for a while. On Friday we met up with a bunch of moms from the moms group at the zoo. Melissa and her three kids were up from Oregon, which meant that Jacob (Melissa's son) and Ted were able to hang out at the zoo. Jacob came home with us after the zoo and hung out with Ted all afternoon/evening. This morning we all got up and cleaned the house. Haley came over and babysat the kids while I took Brad out for an early birthday dinner. We went to Kirkland and had dinner at TGIFridays. After dinner we wondered around the area and got some Starbucks, then I drove us down to Juanita Bay Beach. It was beautiful, we walked down on the public dock and watch the boats come and go. We were even lucky enough to watch an eagle catch a fish for dinner, very cool. Tomorrow we are going to Brad's boss's house to play at the lake. I will post some pictures of it tomorrow.

Aquasox Game

We have a minor league baseball team here in Everett (about 15 minutes from our house), called the Aquasox. Our awesome neighbors gave us four tickets to the game, $20 in food vouchers and free babysitting for Sierra, plus parking is free. We didn't know it was opening night when we went, so it was even better than normal. They had games for the kids to play with prizes, bouncy houses, jugglers, etc. We got there and played for a while, then we got some food and went to find out seats. We had great seats; on the third base line right behind the dugout three rows back! We could see everything! Alex has never been to a baseball game and it has been 3 or 4 years for Ted and me. The boys were great and Alex even made it through 10 innings and the fireworks show afterwards!! And our team won 4 to 3! We all had so much fun. I can't wait
to go again.

Happy Father's Day

I hope all you dads had a great Father's Day!! And a really big Happy Father's Day to my dad, I missed you and the beer festival this year.
And another really BIG Happy Father's Day to my husband, Brad!!!! You are the best father to our children, I couldn't ask for anyone better. We love you.
This year we had a very relaxed laid back day. We ate, went for a drive, hung out with the kids and after the kids went to bed Brad and I had some cheese fondue and wine!
Alex and Ted painted Brad new mugs for work. This year they painted pirate mugs, very cool.
And Sierra's present to Brad was to say "Dada" and "Daddy" for the first time ever!!!! She was looking for him when she called out "Dada" and playing peek-a-boo with him when she called him "Daddy". Brad was so happy!

Ted's Last Day of School

Today was Ted's last day of school and he was able to bring home his report card (a long with a ton of other crap). He did so well this trimester! He got all 3 and 4's in Literacy, Math, Social Studies, Science, Art, Music and PE. His effort, participation and life long learning skills all went up to Consistently and Usually! He has passed the 4th grade and will be starting 5th grade next school year. We are so proud of Ted!!!!!!! As always on report card day, Ted picked were to go to dinner tonight. We went to the Saw Mill Cafe so he could have French Toast, Eggs and Sausage. We had a great dinner and all three of the kids were good for us and eat a great dinner.

A Fixed Van with A/C + Roses = A Great Day

So this afternoon after work we went and picked up the van from the shop. The a/c works GREAT! I didn't know how bad I missed it until now. After we got the van I took the boys home with me to start dinner. Brad took Sierra with him to the grocery store to get a few things. When they came home Brad brought me fire and ice roses (my favorite rose!!) they are beautiful.

Teddy Bear Breakfast

While I was getting ready for the day I told Alex to get his stuff ready for breakfast (bowl, spoon, box of cereal, milk). And he decided to add this -
Alex decided to have a teddy bear breakfast this morning.

Another Week Over and Another Review

We had a busy week this week. On Monday I took Alex and Sierra to the local park and let them play at the park/water area. Wednesday morning we went to a park with the preschool and played with some of our friends then in the afternoon we had our fun playdate and dinner out with friends. Friday we took the van in, bought ceiling fans and installed them. Saturday morning we cleaned the house and Sierra and I went to Costco. In the afternoon we had Myriah, Aaron, Jaggar, Peggy, Jonathan and Anthony over for the evening. We had pizza and let the kids play swords outside and inside on the Wii. We had a great time and the kids were exhausted by the end of the evening. Then on Sunday we had Andra, Chris, Ben, Katie, Shari, Matthew and Devin over for dinner. It was great, the kids all play so nice with each other it is finally getting easy again!
Here are a few pictures from the week:

A/C for the Van and Ceiling Fans for the house

Today we had to turn in the van to have some work done on it and it turns out the a/c was the problem, so we are having the a/c fixed on the van!!! It was supposed to be back today, but now we won't have it back until Monday afternoon. Brad took the day and we decided to buy and put up the ceiling fans. We bought five new fans, for Sierra's room, the guest room (Grandma's room), the boy's room, and two for the family room. While Brad was out he also picked up the replacement camera (I dropped ours and they couldn't fix so they gave us a new one!). I put the first one up in the baby's room. I thought it would be a good idea to know how to do it and it was pretty easy. Here are the picture of me do it (with the new replacement camera).
